Future Work Trips (Yankee Clippers)
Saturday, October 5, there will be a Yankee Clippers work trip on the AT in Pennsylvania. We'll meet in the parking lot at the intersection of US30 and PA233 at Caledonia State Park by 8:45am so we can organize and leave by 9am.
We'll work on waterbars, checkdams, and drainage problems and also to the Rocky Knob Trail. Some blazing may be done on that trail.
Useful tools include rock bars, shovels, mattocks, mcleods, fire rakes, and loppers.
Certified chain-sawyers should bring chainsaws. Brush cutters will also be useful.
Let me know if you're coming on the work trip and make clear whether or not you're staying for supper.
I need to know whether you will be joining us for supper by Wednesday, October 2.
The next Tuscarora Trail work trip will be on Saturday, October 19.
The next AT work trip will be on Saturday, November 2.
All work reports through the end of September must be submitted by September 30. The club reports work hours to ATC and our other partners at the end of the federal fiscal year which is September 30.
