04/10/2022 - Announcement: Chris Firme is the new District Manager for the Tuscarora Trail from Hancock, MD north to the junction with the AT.  Chris brings a wealth of experience and knowledge on these trail miles and will help take the Tuscarora Trail to the next level.
FUTURE EVENTS

A PATC North Chapter work trip is planned for next Saturday on the Tuscarora Trail in Pennsylvania.

Location:  Cowans Gap State Park - parking lot directly across from "T" of Aughwick Road

Address:  6235 Aughwick Road, Fort Loudon, PA 17224

Goals:  Blowdown removal, blazing

Tools Needed: Sawyers, swampers, loppers, buckets to hold paint, paint and brushes will be provided


It's highly recommended that you bring the following: work gloves, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, bug repellent, safety glasses, water, and lunch.


Silberman Cabin will be open Friday and Saturday nights.  (Bring your own food and water)

 As of April 2021, The following rules must be follower for maintainers in organized work trip until further notice:

1. If you feel unwell, stay home and we hope to see you on the next worktrip.
2. PATC and ATC are requiring some video training.  Each person must visit the ATC website (Homepage) to sign the acknowledgement that they have reviewed the guidelines and watched the video.  Once is enough so no need to revisit.  Follow this link: Volunteer Protocols During COVID-19 then scroll down and watch the embedded Video referenced above.  Please sign the acknowledgement after the video.  This is required viewing if you want to volunteer on the AT.
3. No carpooling.
4. No sharing of food or drink.
5. No sharing of tools.
6. Workers are encouraged to bring their own tools and PPE.
7. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 6 persons.
8. Efforts will be made to keep workers, who live under the same roof, together.
9. Mask wearing is encouraged.
10. Bring hand sanitizer.
